Copy as Embedded YouTube Video

This shortcut accepts YouTube URLs and then formats HTML for embedding it elsewhere.

This shortcut accepts YouTube URLs as input (or gets them from the clipboard) and then pulls out the video ID to format into the right HTML for embedding the video in a blog post or elsewhere. It attempts to expand any shortened URLs and disregards added trackers. The resulting plain text is copied to the clipboard with a preview alert so you can make sure it's formatted correctly.

It was created by Jarrod Blundy) and written about on his blog.

(I made a similar shortcut for embedding tweets: Copy as Embedded Tweet)
