Regular Places, Database, Driving directions updated 27/12/2019
Directions with a difference.
Description
Using a Dictionary is by far the quickest way to get your directions
Using Control Centre Address Database has endless possibilities with this, the beauty of this is you can prioritise what comes first on the list simply move them around on the Dictionary and that place will be first on the list, so if you are travelling a lot just move them around to suit your day.
You can add as many locations as you like. If you prefer Wase or Apple maps just change the map at the bottom.

Hi TonyDudley, I’m not sure if it’s possible when using dictionary;
You could add (variables)/code URL/open x-callback-URL to autostart the directions in google maps. Worth a look?
Thanks for sharing all shortcut goodies and ideas!

Yes I know that is possible but it’s no hardship to press a button.
If you want to change it it is simple
Just put this in a url box comgooglemaps://?directionsmode=driving&daddr=Replace Text&dirflg=t
Not something that bothers be though.
Cheers
Tony

Thanks mate, question, do I still need to add "code URL" And "open x-callback URL" box?
Something I noticed since yesterday with your (original) shortcut, it fails to open when I try to launch from widget. Seems like that the memory bug which was supposed to be fixed by Apple is back :(. iPhone X btw
It looks like that it's caused when the database shortcut is being called. Any ideas?
Thanks again for the great work en effort Tony

No just this as before no need for x call back.
I’m on iPad Pro, so it could be the iPhone memory is not enough, but I don’t get any issues?

Just clarify:
Case 1 (with your shortcut & database): worked before via widget but suddenly it doesn’t. Restarting my iPhoneX didn’t help unfortunately. Rebuilding from scratch either.
Case 2 I made a copy and replaced “show directions” with your shared shortcut, doesn’t autostart google maps unfortunately. I do agree though that it’s not a problem pressing a button, it’s more of an educational thing for me now
