Obsidian Plugin Database

Creates and updates a database of all Obsidian community plugins

On run, this shortcut will create a file for each Obsidian plugin, as well as a Plugin Database file, in your Obsidian vault, then open the database. This database will show every current Obsidian plugin so you can view, install, and evaluate each one. Every time this shortcut is run, it will check for new plugins and add them to the database. It should not modify or delete any existing plugin data files; however it will overwrite the database file itself.

This shortcut requires the Dataview and DB Folder plugins; you will be prompted to install them if needed.

Note: This is pre-release software. If there are any improvements you would like to see, no matter how nitpicky, please let me know using the links below. I'm especially interested in improvements to the database itself.

To download

Tap the “Get Shortcut” button to the left. The Shortcuts app will open and offer to import the shortcut (if nothing happens after Shortcuts opens, come back and tap “Get Shortcut” again).

To use

Just run it! If you want, you can save it to the Home screen to make it easier to access.

You can run it again from time to time to check for any new plugins, or just to open the plugin database.
