Getting Started

Upon importing the shortcut you'll see the import question for setting up the shortcut.

This setup can always be reset using the info button in the shortcuts editor, then going to setup, and finally customize shortcut.

Note: this shortcut uses a screenshot to store the screen dimensions, this screenshot is only kept in the shortcut temporarily and it is deleted after the shortcut finishes. If you store the dimensions of the screenshot or store the poster images, this screenshot is only needed once

• Store screenshot size in iCloud Drive - this will allow the shortcut to not need to take a screenshot each time it runs to determine the image sizing to use
• Save poster images in Photos album - this will make an album in Photos app to store the images. Using this option can also allow for the image sizes to be captured from existing images in the album (if they exist)
• Show poster before saving / sharing - this option will present the poster in a Show Result pop up before it opens in the Instagram app

Instructions

This shortcut can either be ran while a song is playing or if you share a song to it.

While playing music, simply run the shortcut.

If you run into a problem with the shortcut not being able to get the artwork from the current song, the shortcut will show an alert about this and recommend using the share song method.

Share Song Instruction and Screenshots

Use the menu from any song in Apple Music (or any music streaming service as of version 11) and tap the Share Song option

Select "Song To Instagram" in the Share Sheet
