Run as an automation to give yourself a chance at a healthier option before wasting time in apps
This shortcut was made to encourage you to make healthier choices when it comes to opening those apps we know we shouldn’t waste time with. For me, it’s social media apps - for you, it might be something else!
You’ll have the following options: • Go do a (custom) activity instead • Continue to the app (with a time limit) • Go straight to your Home Screen
For optimal use, run this shortcut as an automation whenever you open the app(s) of concern (Shortcuts > Automation > New > Create Personal Automation > App).
The shortcut setup lets you to choose a healthier activity to set as an option (e.g.- taking a walk), and associate a Workout to start on your Apple Watch. It also allows you to set a time limit for the app of concern if you choose to continue using it, before it returns you to your Home Screen.
