2020 Updater Grand Prix

A Shortcut Action performance analysis tool — disguised as a thrilling competition.

Introducing the 2020 Updater Grand Prix

Updater Grand Prix

Featuring the High-Precision timing found in @zachary7829's Test Updater's Speed and @AShortcuts' Test Speed, Updater Grand Prix allows you to test all your favorite Updaters in no-holds-barred Race for the Championship.

Race Setup

Setting up a race is as simple as it gets.

Enter your track location (the iDevice running the Shortcut,) and the current racing conditions (the type of network you're connected to,) and decide how many laps (Updater Check Test Runs) your race requires.

Choose from the Updaters you have installed, connecting each one to its compatible Dictionary, and you're ready to Staaart your Enginnes!

Live Racing

Live Racing Action

Continuous visual feedback throughout the race — including dashing Racing Colors for every contestant.

Precision Race Reports

Detailed, Precision Race Reports

In addition to formatted race reports (to share with your frienemies,) all race data is compiled in saved JSON dictionary for in-depth statistical analysis.

Major updates in planning stages

  • Expert Siri race announcers and live commentary.
  • Integration with Charty to visually explore race statistics.
  • Inclusion of Embed-a-Update, Swing Updater Embedded, and Toolbox PRO's free, native iOS coded updater.
  • Enable multiple updaters on-track simultaneously. (I think that should work ;)

If you have an updater that requires a unique dictionary not yet available in Updater Grand Prix, leave me a note and I'll slipstream it in there.

And of course, since this is an iOS Shortcut, not copyrightable code, feel free to fix it up, change it up, or break it, (what I usually do) yourself. ;)
