this shortcut is very sleek and lightweight, love it! the only complain i have is when there's a multi post the thumbnail of a video can be downloaded separately and when there are 10 pictures in the multi post you can't download them all because of the thumbnail of the video. could you please fix this? would be greatly appreciated!!

Great job. This downloader is the only one that works consistently for me, likely due to your special invalid URL fix in version 1.03. However, when I encounter those URL's, it first opens Safari, then I tap open, then share, and then I have to tap Instagram Download twice to start the download. Is tapping twice a bug or feature?

Thanks for the feedback. It's not a feature of this shortcut but probably a bug in iOS 14 ignoring first tap because I also experience it with any shortcut sometimes when sharing. :)

Thanks for the quick response and hi again :) I think I know why it has to go twice. I noticed that by running the shortcut from Safari (instead of from Instagram). A notification says the webpage needs to be reloaded, please run the shortcut again. However if Safari is opened by the shortcut from within IG, there's no notification. Maybe there's a way to also show the notification so it's more obvious that the shortcut needs to be run a second time?

Hi again. :) Hmm, the 'webpage reloading' alert popping up is different. However, the shortcut not responding to the first tap is because it doesn't kick off at all in this case. I think it's iOS's fault ignoring the tap and not launching the shortcut. Usually when a shortcut is selected from the menu, it is highlighted briefly. But nothing happens when the first tap is ignored, doesn't it?

Hmm, I think you're right. The 'webpage reloading' is different and it shows the shortcut has completed running. In the buggy case, it shows that I've tapped on it, and then 'nothing happens'. Hopefully it'll be an iOS fix in the future. Thanks for the support. :)
Can I ask you though what's special about those invalid URLs? I only experience the issue at one ISP.

With some more experiment, I think I found what causes it. When the shortcut launches Safari, the shortcut doesn't finish execution although I put an 'exit shortcut' action right after it. So when you open the share sheet in Safari and tap the shortcut, that first tap makes it exit not launch. Still an iOS bug that should be fixed. :) Regarding the shortcut not able to find any URLs when shared from the app, I think it's because Instagram forces users to log in to view the content, not always,

not everywhere, but in some regions or ISPs or I don't know when or where. When shared from Safari, however, a shortcut has access to the webpage's full html source, so it's easier to find URLs to media. Hope this explains. :)

Yes, it only affects one of the several ISP's I use. I spent days checking the firewall thinking something was blocking shortcuts. :) I just tried using other downloader shortcuts from Safari and the results aren't satisfactory too. Keep up the good job!

The shortcut checks for an update automatically once every five times you run the shortcut, and when it finds one, it presents a menu where you can download it with another tap. Would like it to check for an update every time?

If what you mean by "redo everything" is come to RoutineHub and download it manually, yes you don't have to do it. If you tap update it will download and install the update.
