This shortcut can :

If this is your first time using Shortcuts you have to activate "Allow Untrusted Shortcuts" by going to
Settings -> Shortcuts and enable "Allow Untrusted Shortcuts".
If that option is greyed out, open the Shortcuts app and run one of the starter Shortcuts or any Shortcut from the gallery . Then you should be able to enable it.
This Shortcut supports Embed-a-Update which enables the Shortcut to check for updates and notify you about any available update.

I couldn't get the "Read Article" option to work, do you know why I might be having issues. It loads for a bit and acts like it completes the function, but I don't hear anything. Thanks!

That’s true, for some reason it doesn’t work on certain iPhones like iPhone 11.
It’s a problem from the Shortcut app it self.
Let’s wait for any update to the Shortcut app or iOS.
FYI : I tried it on iPads and iPhone 7, iPhone 6s Plus and it works fine, but on iPhone 11 it doesn’t work.
Please tell me what iPhone do you have ?

Hah, yeah I have an iPhone 11 Pro. I'll test it out on my iPhone 12 to see if I have issues as well. I'm writing an article on Safari Plus for GadgetHacks.com, want it to be thorough, and this was the only issue I bumped into. I'm on the 14.4 beta as well, if that helps.

No issues with the Shortcut.
I know there’s a problem with iPhone 11 but until now nobody has reported any problem with the Shortcut except iPhone 11 series.
If you want to write about the Shortcut, you have to mention the iPhone 11 error for reading articles.
As I told you I have iPhone 11, iPhone 7, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad Pro 2018, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro 2017, iPad 6 and the only device had error reading articles was iPhone 11.
I hope that the error will be resolved in the future. Thank you
